Still liberating with their boxes of matches and substandard building materials..

Africa cannibalising its children again, what's new?

Sad that the one thing we desperately need (schools) is getting so little priority by government. Projects like this should be monitored regularly and every aspect of the spending and building process should be scrutinized. We cannot afford stuff-ups like this.

Looks as if someone outsourced that job to their mate who makes tombstones.
:D who TF would want font like that on a tombstone??? LOL maybe count Dracula?

Is it supposed to be "rebuild of the year" or "rebuilt in the year"? How ironic for a school.
Correct English would be “rebuilt in the year”, notice the fudged mistake in “funded” as well.

Haha! Poot this...*reaches for scribble on crumpled paper in pocket*...on this... *points at smallest off-cut on the factory floor*.

Is that POS even attached to the wall? Or did they just sort of prop it up there on the way out?

Happen everywhere. Anyone saw the huge cracks all over in the Thelle Mogoerane Government Hospital (Vosloorus hospital)? Opened August 2014.

School probably cost less than a million, rest shared amongst the facilitators
For R28m I'd expect a top of the line computer centre, restaurant, hot water in every class, whole school covered with wifi, undercover parking, amphitheatre, gym and an indoor sports arena.

In South Africa we could definitely have a "rebuild of the year" award.

Winner of this year's 'educational institutions and public libraries' award goes to...*drumroll*

That plaque though...what a cherry on the top of an absolute slap in the face. I guess a POS school is better than no school though hey, Vuwani.
