The stupid argument always comes up every time there's talk about transformation. White football players are the norm in our local game. We've had a lot of white players even during the good old days, all the way up to now.

He paid no money to go on tours, other parents had to absorb the cost. White parents had to go drop him off at home in the dark in unsavory areas. Quite a few parents who helped this kid are pissed off beyond words at what they feel are betrayal.
SO why do they not ask Cheslin Kolbe, or Courtnal Skosan their opinion as well. Coloured chaps that came from this school, and they were treated with much respect. A school in the middle of a white area can expect ot be filled with White kids. 5 kilos down the road you have Monument park and Eben Donges. Go look at their percentages and you will see where the black kids are going. cheaper schools, and closer to the informal settlements, where unfortunately the most black kids in this area comes from.

The EFF came for a fight, they got one, The police let them get away with almost everything. now they are threatening to find a 17 old chap who defended his mom and school.
Most troublesome are the media who are spinning this story so far away from the truth. the rest of the country see an image of Brackenfell that is completely untrue. And now with ANC getting involved. President Ramaphosa blaming the parents and not EFF.... The town is ****ed now, allready had bombscare now at the other high school here.
And all of this because 350 students did not get a matric farewell, and parents held one privately for the first 100 Kids that could pay R500, Everybody was invited, and only 42 pitched in any way????

Yes, as ABSURD as it sounds you need to actually provide your facts before a judge. To show that the SCHOOL is not segregated. And if that can be proven, then the protest automatically becomes unjustified.

I studied at #brackenfellhigh and this topic is extremely boring because who doesn't know that's one of the most racist schools in the Western Cape. As a child I understood what racism meant but that school opened my eyes to its depth and reality so please

The first time someone had ever told me that I would become absolutely nothing in life was my Life Science teacher Mrs Visser, that was 5/6 years ago but I remember it all the time because she didn't care how piercing her words were to a child.
A girl in our Business Studies class said in Afrikaans "I wish all you black dogs could just die" we reported this and Mnr Kotze our teachers response was "Please excuse her she's going through some stuff at home" and that was it

From not being allowed to speak our language in the passages to being mocked because of our hair or inability to understand Afrikaans all in the presence of teachers who said nothing.
Brackenfell has about 1750 students, about 50 staff members and, 25 general workers and not one, not ONE black worker or staff member, Blavk people were not even good enough to clean there

So don't bore us, we know, we were there, you hated us.

I am not going to post them all, but I have no gone through many on both Twitter and Facebook. I doubt the school will get their interdict againt the EFF on Monday if the EFF take all of this to the court when filing their case.

I see someone posted close to an entire yearbook on Twitter of the guy when he was there at school a few years ago. All photos with teachers and other kids, mostly white, and seemed to be a very popular kid, but someone reported the post on Twitter and it was removed. All of these posts seem to be reported… don’t know why people would want to report it, but the social giants sure are removing them.

A matric learner who cannot be named out of concern for her safety, said the school should have been aware about how the event would have come across to learners of colour, who were not invited to the party other than some being privy to a second-hand invitation that circulated on WhatsApp two days before the masquerade ball.

“The reason why this is such a hard thing for us to swallow is because these racist incidents have been building up. There are many instances that I can share where learners of colour were outright treated unfairly.

“We are not even surprised that the school is denying any involvement because that is their go-to for everything; they deny and sweep under the rug.”

However, resident and parent Jay J Kotze said that the party invitation was open, and shared with all relevant people.

“The party was a private event that was planned by parents for their children in matric. It was open to only 100 learners, due to Covid-19 regulations, and a fee of R500 was charged.

“It was not a whites-only party and a number of children of colour attended. The school is not racist and does not deserve to go through so much unnecessary drama because a parent felt a certain way. The EFF is opportunistic and needs to stop blowing things out of proportion.

“We will be laying charges against all those who instigated this situation. It is uncalled for, ridiculous and disruptive, especially at a time such as this. We have video proof of what happened that day and we will not be intimidated by the EFF,” said Kotze.

It will be incredibly hard for establishing the truth if the truth is found in experience only. There is a chance of things escalating into a court case where testimony will have to be given.

Again, a private function has NOTHING to do with any of the other students.

The private function has nothing to do with the alleged racism at the school, it is 2 different topics.

But the goalposts are obviously not buried in the ground, it can be moved whenever people feel like it.

If you think the school is being racist, write to the MEC of education, requesting a meeting with all the role players and fuking adult there.

What you dont do is come and be a nai at the school, where kids are writing exams but anyway, nothing will help anymore, this is our future.
