Budapest - Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali has not ruled out the possibility of seven-time Formula One world champion Michael Schumacher coming out of retirement as a temporary replacement for Felipe Massa.

"It would be wrong to say yes or no at this stage," Domenicali told the Tagesspiegel newspaper on Monday when asked about the chance of Schumacher returning to the track for the European Grand Prix in Valencia on August 23.

"We will think about it this week."

This would be an interesting situation. Imagine if he suddenly came out winning a couple of races. Would surely shake things up a bit.

i'd love to see it, cause he wouldnt win thats for sure ... the ferrari does not have the pace or dominance it had when he was still racing. Would be awsome to see Vettel or Webber nail his a$$ !!

Well i would love to see it, who says the ferrari cannot win? it came close this weekend :D.

Shumi is a very technical person and i think he could add a lot to the car :D, more than massa and kimi

I would pay to watch this race. Would prob be the most watched F1 race in F1 history. Even if he makes a return even just for one race as a stand in :)

He is good, but not that good. For too long the ferrari he had just ran away from the pack, kinda like Jenson's Brawn did at the begining of the season. He would finish somwhere in the top 3 to 10, but not likely a winner.

Edit: and if it did happen and he did win, I would eat my words and post in the "sorry I was mistaken" thread!! (still would be awsome thing to see - I'd like to see him prove me wrong!)

I guess the people who are not Shumi fans will obviously blame the car...

Do you guys seriously believe it was the car alone? I doubt that.
Shumi was always good, even when Ferraris cars were average!

I would love to see him win again!:)

No shummi was just the best driver by a mile, you could see from his younger days with benetton and even before that you could see he had some major talent. It was not just the car that was so good.

Sadly the people who do not like shummi will say that it is the car but he is one of the most talented GP drivers ever in my opinion.

I have nothing against a good driver and a good car, but the car was seriously superior by a mile. Easy to prove, Reubens Barichello was mediocre untill he landed a ferrari drive, and you can see how he kept pace with Schumi - remember when he was winning and had to let Schumi pass? hmmmm

I think that Schumacher's aggresivness and sheer driving determination does put him a notch above most, but all these F1 drivers are flippin good drivers. Wouldn't you love to see them all compete in a cup series, where they all have the same cars. Man that would be cool!

eh that happened once and one swallow doesn't make a summer... Point is in the same machinery as his team mate was he ever consistently beaten by his team mate? NO...

Look at the 4 seasons spent at Benneton for example, he drove the pants off his team mates, in 92 Martin Brundle, 93 Ricardo Patrese, 94 the entire field, he won, 95 Jonny Herbert and the entire field (another championship).

So, sorry, Schummi is to F1 what Ali is to boxing or Armstrong to cycling or Bradman to cricket Pele to soccer etc etc etc...

Not my exact point, but more than often it was a ferrari 1 - 2 finish. Look at the constucter championship points, they killed everyone. The car was too good for the competition. And yes Michael is one of the all time best. I just think though it was a sad boring 5 years of F1.

Yup it was without a doubt, you should go look into shummi and ferrari, it is not like he dominated everyone for all that long, he did some amazing things in that piece of crap ferrari :D.

Once he had a good car there was nobody near talented enough to beat him until alonso came along :) and we all know alonso is an awesome driver as well.

Ayrton Senna actually it is not easy to say who was/is better.

Sienna was the best ever. Nuff Said :p

+1 .. ps spelled Senna. Man I was watching when that accident happened, what a legend! But I must agree that Senna and Michael were both very aggressive drivers. Thats what made them good!
