Once he had a good car there was nobody near talented enough to beat him until alonso came along :) and we all know alonso is an awesome driver as well.

damn straight, was never an alonso fan. but i seem to shout for him more and more these days. Used to be a Kimi fan, but the guy has no drive (except for this last race, he did seem far more motivated)

But Alonso is the dark horse. and if renault sort out the car.... cause we know that engine is fantastic!

I have a different spin on the Alonso thing...
I think Shumi didnt push that hard during his later races...

Renault had an awesome launch control, if you remember them at the starts, they would take 4 or 5 places in the start alone...

As for Senna, hard to say who was better, in terms of stats Shumi is best, and we will never know who was the best between them.

I wouldnt say Alonso is better, I think Shumi was so good that anyone that posed a tiny threat was branded as a "good driver"...

Remember the Montoya move, lol how did that end?

I never said he was better, i said it took a talented driver to beat shummi something that was not around during his dominant rein.

Alonso is a good driver, i think he could have been a legend if he had not got stuck with a dog of a car. Saying alonso had a better car is like saying shumi won all his titles in a better car.

Yup piquet must go, nakajima not as good either but kov should stay because mclaren want one dominant driver, they do not want another alonso story if you ask me. So i can't see him going but yea i would replace him with someone better :D

there were rumours about Sébastien Loeb joining F1. Hell that would be interesting!

Indeed it would!!! He's already done a fair amount of driving for Peugeot in the Le Mans...

I can't remember now, but I'm sure he did a couple of laps in either a Renault or a Ferrari earlier on this year!

Schumacher is an arrogant asswad who happened to be able to drive a bit. He very often had the benefit of the best equipment, as evidenced by mediocre (by F1 standards) teammates often shadowing him for a 1-2 finish.

His '94 championship came after he deliberately ran Hill off the road (after himself smashing into the barriers), and he only lost the '97 championship because a similar stunt (this time directed at Villeneuve) backfired.

Bernie and Max turned him into the face of Formula 1 and he has the association of Ferrari International Assistance (also known as the FIA) to thank for most of his success. He is a pillock.

No shummi was just the best driver by a mile, you could see from his younger days with benetton and even before that you could see he had some major talent. It was not just the car that was so good.

Sadly the people who do not like shummi will say that it is the car but he is one of the most talented GP drivers ever in my opinion.

Took awhile for ferrari to get on top of things, it is not like he walked into ferrari and dominated from day 1.
