Anything could've gone wrong with Mossads "plan"
One guy takes his faulty pager in for repairs and it prematurely explodes or they notice an anomaly with the circuit board.
With that amount of units the incidence of something for going wrong is far higher than a complete success which is what this operation was.
Which is why I suspect the manufacturer had more input into the design aspect than what they want us to believe.

But I'm a skeptical and cynical b*stard.

Had to get the specialists from Budapest to modify the fail meter for this ...

Well done, you managed to quote a post of mine without saying "pommiestan goldfish derp derp derp".

This time we just got the "derp derp derp" bit.

Your remedial teacher's interventions are finally bearing fruit.

Has it been revealed yet how they made the pagers explode?
Seems they got the li-ion batteries to go into thermal runaway and then explode to various degrees.
"pagers started heating up and then exploding in the pockets and hands of those carrying them"
But then
"The images seen Tuesday showed signs of detonation, said Alex Plitsas, a weapons expert at the Atlantic Council. "A lithium ion battery fire is one thing, but I've never seen one explode like that. It looks like a small explosive charge," Plitsas said."

Israel's Mossad spy agency planted a small amount ofexplosives inside thousands of pagers ordered by Hezbollah monthsbefore the devices exploded, a Lebanese security source has told theReuters news agency.

The senior source said the militant group had ordered 5,000beepers which several other sources said were brought into Lebanon inthe spring.

The same source claimed the devices had been modified by Israel'sspy service "at the production level".

A second security source told Reuters up to 3g of explosives werehidden in the new pagers that went "undetected" byHezbollah for months.

Scores of members of the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah, including fighters and medics, were seriously wounded on Tuesday when the pagers they use to communicate exploded, a security source told Reuters.

A Hezbollah official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the detonation of the pagers was the “biggest security breach” the group had been subjected to in nearly a year of war with Israel.

A Reuters journalist saw ambulances rushing through the southern suburbs of the capital, Beirut, amid widespread panic. People said explosions were taking place even 30 minutes after the initial blasts.

Yeah so, mobile phones anyone?

You know if it was only Hezbollah fighters that's one thing, but it wasn't. And now they've opened up Pandora's box as far as these types of attack vectors go.

2 out of 12

17%

you may like the idea of 17% of your victims being innocent children, not all of us are that bloodthirsty
You are clearly not speaking on behalf of muslims, every anc member ever, most african countries, right?

i mean, rockets aimed at children playing soccer = muslims
anc bombing public buildings
african leaders living in luxury while their people die of hunger

Israel will of course justify terrorism because for them non-Jews and specially Arabs are seen as animals according to their holy books... It is truly the same mentality as the one you saw in Nazi Germany.
Specific words have specific meaning. Terrorism would be targeting civilians unprovoked. You can try reach really far with fringe cases of civilian causalities, but then your generalization will be so broad that you could call any military operation terrorism. The definition of terrorism isn't "anything that has civilian casualties".

Which part of a holy book says this? There's nothing specific like this. If you're referring to Amalek, once again, you're reaching. The Koran on the other hand.. much more specific.

Similar to how the word "genocide" might be used without it's actual definition being relevant, don't fall into that trap with this.

How dare you say the islamist medical staff carrying weapons arent civilians?

THEY ARE WEARING MEDICAL UNIFORMS (or in some cases UN uniforms) - they must be innocent civilians................

Forgot to add that the quote was copypasta from a Russian article.

Someone like me?? What does this mean or more aptly what does this say about you or the kind of person you are? Are you arrogant, angry, frustrated, or self-important? Is there ever a time to say such a thing to anyone else even if you are competing to be the nastiest or meanest human being. Don't lose yourself because you're hiding behind a keyboard and no one can see you.
I'm mostly self-important and sometimes arrogant.

Definitely not angry or frustrated...not with the awesome life I'm living.

Anything else?

Nah.

You need an extraordinary level of intelligence to pull something like this off. Odds are it can't happen again. You need to know exactly where your targets are purchasing their devices.

But what it has done, is it has completely demolished Hezbulless's communications infrastructure. They have to go back to square one now and find something else.

Woulda...coulda...shoulda...bla bla bla.

It was an amazing plan and a roaring success.

Well done Israel/Mossad!! Please, so something similar again soon.

The Lebanese authorities said civilians were among those injured. France 24 cited a Hezbollah source as saying a 10-year-old daughter of a Hezbollah member was killed. The group acknowledged on Wednesday that eight of its members had been killed, according to Sky News Arabia.

"10-year-old daughter of a Hezbollah member was killed" and "group acknowledged on Wednesday that eight of its members had been killed"

Who to trust. Another source said she was 8. Also, what has hezbolaugh say about the 8/10 year old? Do we have official word from them?

I'm sorry...did you just decide NOT to read the 349 previous posts? Where all this has been explained in detail? Just wondering.

Not just that, it will likely also make them question how secure their organisation is. What other aspects of their organisation have been compromised? How vulnerable are their supply chains?

Other anti-Israeli organisations will think the same.
