Yes, it should be relatively easy. What phone are you using? What smart TV do you have?

Thank you for replying,

The Phone i have is a Huawei P30 lite which has the mirroring feature,
i am in the process of hunting for a 32" cheap tv that also has the mirroring feature,
perhaps there is a tv that IS NOT a smart tv that supports the mirror feature??

reason being that i have cancelled my DSTV but i can pick up movies etc through the home wifi on my smartphone but would also like to stream it the the bigger screen.

I stand to be corrected, but to my knowledge, you need a smart TV for the mirroring as the process works using a WiFi connection.

Or get yourself an Android TV box such as the Xiaomi Mi Box S, you can then mirror to the box and hook the box up to a 'dumb' TV.
