Yes you are going to need to use the huawei band tool I attached to my previous reply. You won't be able to force B1+B3 4G+ in the router like you do with 2300MHz
OK great, seems to be working well...

Using the router i/f:
4g: https://www.speedtest.net/result/8247925928
1800: https://www.speedtest.net/result/8247928275
2300: https://www.speedtest.net/result/8247930506

Using the band tool:
1800+2100 ul 1800: https://www.speedtest.net/result/8247934487
1800+2100 ul 2100: https://www.speedtest.net/result/8247939043

Needless to say I stuck with the 1800+2100 ul 1800 option using the band tool.

Yes looking good. So glad Telkom decided to refarm 3G spectrum for LTE on that band.

So I've officially cancelled my RAIN subscription.

I'm happy with Telkom so far (holding thumbs it will continue. It's the same speeds I got when I first got Telkom LTE a couple of years back, so hopefully it shows that their infrastructure is still stable.)

The most important thing is that the connection is stable - steady pings.

Yeah on FDD LTE the ping should be stable and lower than TDD LTE obviously depends on the tower traffic though that is why B1+B3 4G+ would be better than B40+B40 4G+ Better latency and higher upload speeds.

Well the B315 is NOT a LTE-A router but if you get a B315 you will likely be able to force 1800MHz OR 2300MHz.

To force the B618 to 4G+ you would need to force 2100MHz + 1800MHz and then choose an upload frequency but 1800Mhz will likely be best. You can use the band tool to force that. I have attached it to the post.

Make sure to edit huawei_band_tool_config.txt with your correct username and password and router IP.

Then focus on these

LTE_1800+2100_UPLOAD_1800.bat
LTE_1800+2100_UPLOAD_2100.bat

Both will force 4G+ but as you can see you have a choice which band is used for the upload. 1800MHz has 10MHz spectrum and 2100MHz would have 5MHz spectrum so the 1800MHz would give you better upload.
