I don't mind the occasional tweak but lately it's gotten ridiculous. It seems like the IRB will only only be happy when forward play is obsolete.

The worst change the rugby in the last 20 years was banning rucking players on the wrong side. Now guys lie all over the place to slow the ball down and most of the time the referees don't police this properly. I say give 'em a few studs to the kidneys. That will get them to move.

Some proffesional players also complained about the rucking rule. Seem they didn't like the treatment dished out to them. :D

Yes, rugby has become a real softy sport.

I tend to disagree. You obvisouly haven't played rugby recently! Remeber one thing - it will become soft if you don't play because you contantly upgrade your couch to make sure that you and your guests are comfortable.

You may disagree. It's your choice.

I have no idea what you are implying. No more rucking. Players getting lots more injuries than say 20 years ago. Ridiculous.

have you seen the size of the guys these days compared to 20 years ago?? :eek: the reason there are "more" injuries is because these blokes smash into each other a hell of a lot harder than the guys of yester year, the current crop of players have been in a professional playing enviroment for most if not all of their playing lives and all they do is eat sleep drink and snort rugby, in terms of fitness and strength they would put the players of 20 years away with ease

They should have 50 players available per side.
Then bring out offensive and defensive players according to the state of play, with lots of timeouts.
And let the players wear helmets and huge pads.

OMG No :mad::p

Interesting to see the verdict on this law is when your favourite team finds themselves down to 14 :erm:

Smashing into each other more than 20 years ago ? You make it sound like 20 years ago touch rugby was being played. The reason why there are so many injuries is because of the weight training. Every day they do weights. It takes strain on the body, and they get an injury for the smallest thing.
