Personally, I like Nokias, and the N73 is about their most successful phone ever on sales figures. My girlfriend's got the SE though, and it's a very impressive phone. The interface isn't all that confusing if you're migrating from a Nokia, and it's chock full of features, plus it takes decent pics. Do you really need the 5MP of the K850 in a cellphone? For the amount you'd have to pay in, you could get yourself a nice digital camera at any rate.

As for the Nokia vs the SE, it seems to me they're both pretty similar. If you know anyone with either phone, ask to play around on it and see which one you personally prefer. One advantage of the Nokia, if it's important to you, is that it uses SD cards instead of a Memory Stick, which is generally easier to interface with other devices.

Otherwise, just go with whatever has more comfortable buttons.

I just typed out a longish reply that got wiped when I tried to post.

To sum things up, do you need 5MP in a phone camera? You could spend the pay-in amount on a more-than-decent digital camera.

As for Nokia vs SE, they're both good phones from what I know. SD cards usually have better compatibility with other devices than memory stick, if that's an issue to you. Otherwise, go with whichever has more comfortable buttons :p The features seem pretty similar.

Thanks for the reply...

Im thinking of going with the N73 Music Edition. If I read right on the web it comes with a 2 gig card. Basically I want some music playing ability as well. My car stereo has an AUX in on the front and I want to be able to plug my cellphone in there to play music through the stereo.

They are both very equal.

Main thing is N73 is slower but can do more (Because of Symbian) Also video is better
K810i is faster, cant do as much only java suppot and better night pictures.

Whichever one of these will be the cheapest to get plugged in to my car stereo is the winner I think.. Dont want to buy thousands of cables to get it working... And it seems like the N73 ME comes with a pop-port as well...

AFAIK K810i isn't a 5MP phonecam.

So for the Sony Ericsson if you want good pics quality - they do take great shots!

K850i is the 5MP, with the pay-in.

Seems like the SE only comes with 128MB card, which is a tad small, if you're gonna be taking photos and playing music.

Not sure if pop-port is such a big deal these days, I think some of the Nokias are coming out now with minijack outputs, which is probably easier.

Doesn't SE also run on a symbian based platform?

Also, as an aside, I think you can get some USB MP3 players that plug into a 12v car power socket, and actually broadcast on an FM frequency to your radio, and they're not too expensive... maybe something to consider.

He's not interested in getting the K850i.

K810i MS is a tad small - 128MB and +-64MB internal I think.

Don't think it runs on Symbian.
