I think you only get the 300GB with 16MB Cache.. and that is around R1000

Actually, I've got the 250GB SATA-II 16MB cache drive on two different pricelists, so there's a good chance of it being correct ;). BUT it's also the 7200.9 series while the 320GB (note, not the 300!) drive is 7200.10 ..this may be worth noting, yes?

Dylan, PM me with where you are 'n let's see what we can work up for you (biggest question is that of shipping, etc.)

hrm! Friend vampirotoothus here is quoting a dealer+VAT price, so if we go in knowing that, in the name of transparency and fair dealing, including delivery (postal or actual (AND petrol's going up again!)) I'm not going to quote that particular price ..nor, I believe will anyone else working off the same pricelists as me. But, if you're still interested, I'll PM and we'll see what we can work up for you.

vamp, what is the point of telling ppl prices at which they can't get stuff. there are only a few of us who get goods at dealer+VAT. If ppl could get at those prices they wouldnt be asking here, so there isnt really a point on giving those prices out.

Hi All

to clear it up. The Drive to get ATM is the seagate 7200.10 series drives. They have 16mb cache and use the new perpendicular recording mode. They are significantly faster (10-15%) than the competition. They come in 250GB, 320GB and 750GB models.

Make sure when you buy, it is a .10 and not a .9 or .8

Will give it to you for 871.77 incl. VAT + shipping costs.

That the .9 or .10 drive? Your site list the drive with that price as the .9.

Anybody who has stock or can get stock quickly, plz PM me a price on these drives: 250Gb and 320Gb 7200.10 Seagate.
