Second monitor not detected

Hi guys.

So I've never run dual monitors before. I have 2 different monitors, both connected via HDMI, but the 2nd monitor is connected to the same Graphics Card (Asus nVidia GTX1650 Super OC) via this Direct Port to HDMI converter. When I go into my nVidia Control Center, it doesn't seem to detect my 2nd monitor.



When I try to force the detection of the 2nd screen, it doesn't want to play ball either.



Please help me out. What am I missing?

Tried different HDMI cables? Could be as simple as a faulty cable / faulty adaptor.

Using the same monitor, connect it first to HDMI, then to the converter. Ensure it works using either solution.

Assuming it does, switch cables and repeat the above two steps. That will rule out adaptor/cable failure.
