Dont Telkom play nice and do everyone a big flavour and not cap
www.microsoft.com www.trendmicro.com and the update sites.

Seeing that security and virus's are a big problem.

Its just like the goverment the police are allowed to have guns but they can not shoot a criminal that are shoorint at them?????.

Yes this is definitely a problem. I think Telkom is still going to receive a rap over the knuckles from ICASA on this point, but when, who knows.
Last month I was capped and I could update my Antivirus, AVG.
This month, Im capped, but I cannot update AVG at all.

Seems to me their techie guys are either finding their way around or simply they dont know what they are doing.

my argument would be that why don't microsoft, trend, symantec have south african mirror sites. Surely they make enought money out of SA to allow this to happen?

I agree. We should also have localised game servers for games like Age of Empires and Warcraft and most of the Ubisoft games...
