See how much money Eskom and SAA lose every second

State-owned enterprises (SOEs) are some of the biggest risks to the South African economy, with losses and bailouts running into billions each year.

Over the last decade, under Jacob Zuma’s leadership, SOEs like Eskom, Prasa, SAA, and the SABC have been gutted by corruption and mismanagement.

If that is true then SAA can afford a marketing scheme where they give away a free domestic ticket every hour for a year to frequent flyers and be better off IMO. But asking SOE's to be innovative is well...

They can't even give frequent flyers decent rewards.
They lost my business long ago thanks to their pathetic attempts at frequent flyer rewards.

What did we expect? The ANC can't run themselves let alone a country. When are the people going to wake up to that fact that the only reason that they're still around is so that they can finance the ANC's greed.

Would have been better to rather show how many low cost houses could have been built since you read the article.

Lol. Maybe you're right. The ANC, especially under Zuma's leadership, had nothing but the country, the economy and it's population in it's best interests. That thieving, corrupt, greedy, selfish (that's their good points) cabinet put themselves second. They all deserve the Nobel peace prize.

Now add these institutions debt to the equation. Eskom will dwarf the rest.

The voters themselves qualify for said prize, based on their astonishingly robust principle of voting without any hesitation for a government that they actually admit, screws them up the arse.

Yup. It makes one wonder. Maybe the uninformed, gullible and uneducated masses are also into some sort of sadism as well because although they're very unhappy, they defend their decision to vote that gang of thugs vehemently.
