Self Portrait challenge

I have done a few self portraits but find it extremely difficult to make myself look good. I took a few pics on friday night and have been to scared to post them anywhere, so maybe this will be a good oppertunity to get a bit of constructive critisim ?

Wanted to give it a shot but the minimum focusing distance on my favourite lens (300mm f/2.8) is 2.5m and my arms are only about 1m long.

Do you have tripod ? Does your camera have a time setting.. do it man.

I looked at mine again. Scared. I think they are crappy.....:wtf: I didn`t have a backdrop, the floor is ugly, the wall is ugly, the chair is pretty nice though...
