Anyone have any advice or links to reading up on selling a up and running business in South Africa?

My parents are passed retirement age - and would like to sell the business they currently run/own. (its a commercial nursery in Limpopo).

I'm trying to find out if there are brokers, or some such that specialise in this sort of thing.

Huh? Ah ok, you mean that type of nursery. Gotcha. @The_Mowgs runs a nursery for his mountain cabbage that he grows, he can advise once he gets out of MyBB Jail.

have you had a valuation done on this business to get an idea of the market value? That would be my first move.

Broker: I had good luck with this crowd in the past- https://www.benchmarkintl.com/za/

They basically charge an engagement fee to help with due diligence and corporate governance plus a % of the transaction value. They seem confident to always close in 12 - 18 months. Only interested in turnover 20bar and more though.
