Well established IT Company is recruiting a Senior IT Desktop Technician with 4 years’ plus experience to support client sites in and around Polokwane, Pietersburg and Limpopo.
Client offers:
• Competitive market related salary.
• Petrol card for business travel.

• Commission on any hardware sales and labour sales.
• After the first year profit sharing can be discussed.
Skills & experience required:
• Must live in the Polokwane, Pietersburg, Limpopo area.
• Must have valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
• Matric plus MCSE (or similar) qualification.
• At least 4 years’ plus experience with providing on-site (client technical support) which includes computer maintenance and support for various clients.
• At least 4 years’ experience working with desktop operating systems including Windows 7, Windows XP and Windows 2000 a must as well as experience in working with server operating systems including Windows 2008.
• PC hardware, software and peripheral equipment installation and trouble-shooting also required.
• Preferably fluent in English & Afrikaans.
Job functions:
• This position will be responsible for supporting computer and application technologies including desktops, printers, monitors and other related hardware equipment and software for various client sites.
• Able to troubleshoot connectivity, printer, hardware, software and internet issues.
• Suitable candidate must have the ability to resolve complex issues.
• Testing of computers and ensuring that computer systems are functioning properly.
Identifying and resolving computer virus or other information security threats.
• Performing physical setting up of computers and software system installation for various computer applications and programs.
• Maintaining and upgrading computer systems.
• Networking and connecting computers within the same organisation to enhance communication.
• Training of staff on computer and software systems.
• Ordering and buying of computer systems that are required.
