Many Gauteng residents have been left without TV or Radio signals after problems with transmission company Sentech, 702 eyewitness news reported today.

"Large parts of Pretoria, Midrand and the North West province are unable to receive television and radio signals at the moment."

This transmission failure comes as South Africans gear up to watch South Africa and England battle it out on TV at the Rugby World Cup final tonight.

Sentech told 702 eyewitness news that incoming mains and back-up generators at its Pretoria centre had failed. "The transmission company says it's unclear how long it will take to get the problem fixed," reported 702 eyewitness news. - Sapa

Jeez!

If ever you had a deathwish...

Could you imagine pretoria being unable to watch the rugby final? Those dutchmen would revolt!

It will be interpreted as sabotage if the SABC signals are off in Pretoria when the game is underway. I for one will interpret it as such.

as long as you arent in pretoria and using an aerial, this is actually quite funny.

and, uncannily, almost....predictable?

the script should be changed by now.

Either that, or the more likely scenario, someone just forgot to put petrol in the generators
