Did anybody watch this?

Versailles (2015)

In 1667, 28-year-old all-powerful king of France, Louis XIV, decides to build the greatest palace in the world - Versailles. But drained budget, affairs and political intrigues complicate things.

Yes, I started it yesterday afternoon and finished it around midnight.

Superb and addictive.

Put me in the Fargo s2 camp also...really enjoyed Narcos but it's a notch below Fargo. As in very good versus excellent...we really are blessed with some good TV nowadays in amongst the usual filler.

Best series of the year for me has to be The Knick. The writing, the cinematography, the insights into 19th century medical practice, the incredible ensemble cast.. yea nothing else comes close really.

It actually started in 2014 :p

My favourite shows of the year (which didn't necessarily start this year) in no particular order

Fargo
Banshee
Halt and Catch Fire
Mr. Robot
Ray Donovan
Sense8
The Knick
The Leftovers
The Man in the High Castle
Vikings
Narcos
Childhood's End

hoping that The Expanse will become one of them

Only started season 2 of Fargo yesterday. Watched 2 eps so far, but it's so, so good.

Season 3 only coming in 2017. :crying:
