I couldn't get into season 1

Me neither, I watched it when I had nothing better to do. It slowly gets better as each season progresses. By the time you finish season 3 you will be hooked.

Well it's been said often enough already but if you enjoyed peaky blinders you got to watch boardwalk empire. Same theme, same era.

Edit: Sci fi isn't everyone's cup of tea so expanse will not appeal to everyone. But if Sci fi is your thing then go for it...

Peaky Blinders and Boardwalk Empire both whoop ass.

On scifi - I'm a huge scifi fan, but find most scifi on TV (and movies, actually) to be tripe. Poor production quality, acting, writing etc. for the most part. This is partly due to the exacting nature of many scifi stories, unfortunately. It costs a boatload to do well, and most network don't want to fund that kind of stuff.

There are exceptions, and The Expanse is one of the recent better examples, but on the whole it's a pretty dire genre of TV, IMO.

I see Letterkenny s01 to s04 is now out on Hulu, so maybe some better rips will appear soon. I got a very decent rip of S05 which just came out.

Finished Friday Night Lights. Really good, but it started dragging for me around the fourth season. Picked up again a bit towards the end, though. On average, I'd rate it 8/10 with some episodes better and a few barely above average.

It didn't help that I found Julie, the coach's daughter, flippin annoying. Every time she was in a scene I had to fight the urge to just skip past it. Favourite character was Landry Clarke! Wish the writers spent more time on him.

This was one of the most difficult series to find and download. I have most seasons 1-4 in 720p, with the exception of two or three episodes. Season 5 I downloaded earlier in decent quality too.
