It was rather strange watching The Grand Tour and not having a car mentioned. Wasn't too bad, but it wasn't great either. Hope they pull a rabbit out of the hat, because, judging by this episode and comments from people abroad, I will be very surprised if they release two more episodes before being canned.

It was a once off episode. Canned ? Based on having already shot the other episodes., and the show being called the grand tour, not the grand car tour and already having mentioned in the last episode of the previous season that the format is changing.

Episode is perfect, it's James, hamster, and the ape mucking about, just because there are no cars doesn't make it shyte, and they have done previous episodes which didn't involve cars in both top gear and the grand tour.

Shouldn't have to remind you.

Vietman special where they were on scooters and eventually had to convert the scooters into boats.
Polar special which had the hamster racing with sleigh dogs.
Thailand special in trucks.
Various races with bikes, cars, boats, bicycles.
Build hover crafts.
Various races with planes, trains and public transport

Neither top gear they did or grand tour, where never "just" cars, and people have to get use to the fact the format changed, meaning there won't be "car" segments, or cars reviews.To be honest car reviews got rather boring never watched it for that, the racing, the modding, and brain fart ideas is what I am here for.

It's perfect.

Im binging on Goliath. S02 didn't have that same "feel" as S01 but I kept going(At least de la Reguera was something for the eye).

Onto S03 today.
PS: Thornton seems perfect for the role.

I will be very surprised if they release two more episodes before being canned.

ALL the episodes are shot before hand. Even Top Gear was shot like that. That is why there is so little winter (northern hemisphere) scenes in TG and GT. The ones with winter were shot at the beginning of the year. The only stuff, and not much of it, that was shot close to release was the studio stuff. The latest season of GT will be specials only as was stated in the final episode last year.

It has these lines on the edges which you get when you rip a movie with the wrong settings, especially with fast moving scenes.
How can you not pick-up on it ... it looks bad throughout the trailer

Finished S1 of The Morning Show. Finale was pretty good, the play out. Overall a good show.

Finished Watchmen last night....loved it.

Brilliant execution of a difficult concept/environment, with the last 2 episodes excellently "explaining" everything without making one feel stupid.

Regina King, Jeremy Irons and Jean Smart were fantastic.

Awesome series. Loved it from the get go. Properly thought out and executed. Maintained a big budget, full feature feel throughout.
