Enjoying The Good Place.

It's really good. Ted Danson is great.

Highly recommend watching Bored to Death if you haven't seen it.

^, excellent news. Might make trawling for classics a little easier.

For the Armando Iannucci fans (The Thick Of It, Veep) - his latest movie The Death of Stalin is out and about.

The Thick Of It is on Amazon Prime Video but has to be purchased separately :crying:

Yeah, super keen to Death of Stalin, myself. :)

It got banned in Russia, too. :D

Yes, I don't understand it. Why? How?

Does not really matter anymore. They cancelled the series and after this season we will never be bothered with X-Files, ever again. Now, if only they can do the same with The Walking Dead - they really should axe it right away.

So...Homeland :erm:

Am I the only one still watching this?

The show's in episode 2 and already falling on the well-worn plot mechanism of Carrie against the world and wondering if her bipolar issue is at play or she's seeing something others don't. Bit annoying but I guess that's all the writers have for her at this point.

How times have changed. I was looking at that link and then wen to Ted's wiki page, which has a section regarding his career breakthrough in Cheers in 1982.
Though the show finished last in the ratings in the first season, it was well received by critics. Ratings slowly but surely improved in 1983 and by 1986 Cheers was one of the top ten shows on TV.

These days if a show has even mediocre ratings they just can it, there are just too many.

I'm also watching it and have to agree with you. It also seems to now be more about politics and government conspiracies than kicking terrorist ass like it used to be. I'll watch it, but I'm not being blown away (scuse the pun).

Troy: Fall of a City

This was hyped as a rival to G.O.T.

It isn't, never will be, it's just dreadful.

Filmed in Cape Town.
