Early reviews of Jessica Jones season 2 states that the story moves at an extremely slow pace. I just can't make it through another slow Netflix Marvel series. I'm busy with The Punisher now, falling asleep during every. single. episode.
Sometimes I really do. Like, I have invested this much time into the Marvel series, and bailing out now would mean I have completely wasted my many hours watching what I already did if I'm not going to see it all the way through. DD and JJ season 1 were both great, everything thereafter was just lacking for me.Do you somehow feel obliged to watch shows you're not enjoying?![]()

So you say JJ is more intriguing than TP?I really liked the first Jessica Jones series, so I hope I will enjoy the second too. Sadly, I agree about The Punisher. First episode was good, but then it meanders around for ages droning on about vets and PTSD (because AMERICA!), before it finally gets good again from about episode 9 onwards.
JJ reminds me of those old PI Philip Marlowe movies, the wise-cracking hardboiled detective with a flask in his desk. Definitely not a superhero series in the classic sense. What made JJ so exceptional was David Tennant as Kilgrave, one of the scariest, most chilling villains that ever graced the screen. So you say JJ is more intriguing than TP?
TP meandered a bit, but it had energy and a lovely female lead.
Saw one episode of JJ and it just didn't grab me.

For me, personally, Iron Fist was the worst so far. Getting some guy who has never been in a gym or a dojo to play the most badass of Kung Fu masters was embarrassing to watch. The only star in that series was Lewis Tan, the guy who played the drunken master. Can't wait to see him in the next season of Into The Badlands.Yeah, at this point with the Marvel series it's like watching the same thing over and over again. The worst, hands down, was The Defenders. That was just so bad.
I like a good villian. Will give it a another shot.JJ reminds me of those old PI Philip Marlowe movies, the wise-cracking hardboiled detective with a flask in his desk. Definitely somebody with a background in martial arts. Finn Jones isn't bad as Danny Rand, so I can't fault him for his acting, but he is so awkward and obviously outclassed in every fight that I want to cringe instead of cheer. Unfortunately, without a database to look at I don't know which actors (besides the obvious ones who have already made a name for themselves) have been trained and can display some decent skills.I like a good villian. Will give it a another shot.
Who would you have casted as Iron Fist, because this seems to be the biggest gripe?
LOL, yes, of course, who would want to watch a show with an 87% approval rating, in the Top 100 of All-Time TV Shows, nominated for 5 Prime Time Emmys, with another 5 wins and 24 nominations.I am in S03 of Bron/Broen, enjoying a nice binge session. Also busy with S05 of Endeavor...so much excellent, realistic TV about real people with real, everyday problems etc.
So luckily I do not have to waste my time with any of these mediocre at best, uninspired, filled with terrible, cliched dialogue and terrible acting by terrible actors, stumbling around during bumbling fight choreography Marvel BS......
