It's brilliant, except for S03 where it took a bit of a dip. But after that it gets even better.

Follow it up with Boardwalk Empire.

Just started S03, nailed 1 & 2 over the weekend! Can't get enough!

I watched Boardwalk Empire a couple of years ago already!! Bloody brilliant series too!

EDIT: Is any reference to the Shelbys made in Boardwalk Empire? I don't recall...?

No, there is no connection/crossover. Both pretty fictional stories, except the prohibition part in the US.

It's brilliant but *not* happy. The Terror was the same for me... Fantastic show but not a light moment in sight.
