Because her behavior is a coherent part of the story that's fleshed out right from the start. It's not just random. In 7 episodes her character and the characters around her are presented as believable and introduced in a way that makes sense. Gambit has some of the best narrative in a series and it's length and pace is unlike most series thus far. Watching it feels more like reading a novel. It was an enjoyable experience overall.I still cannot understand what is so interesting about a clearly crazy woman playing chess.... and youtube for some insane reason keeps recomending I watch a clip about her stoned out of her mind dancing in her underwear......
But ja, obviously if you're going to shine a spotlight on a single part of it (a crazy woman playing chess) at the cost of ignoring everything else then any series ever is gonna seem stupid looked at like that.
