I thought the season finale was excellent

Bit of an eye opener really. It takes a really long time to get going, and only then it's only at a sort of middling level. But its intriguing and keeps you involved in it.
Really excellent show.

I started watching The Shield again. Honestly one of the best series made in my opinion, and doesn't get it dues when other 'greats' of TV are mentioned.

I started watching The Shield again. Honestly one of the best series made in my opinion, and doesn't get it dues when other 'greats' of TV are mentioned.

A brilliant show indeed. I feel the same way about "Southland".

Same here, also had a hard time getting through the first episode. Was not interested so just deleted the episodes, opened up time to watch other things

Woke for the sake of being woke is nonsense. Anything that includes elements of what you perceive as 'woke' doesn't immediately exclude it from being good/decent/excellent.

Also it helps to know that not everything is made or targeted to everyone.

I've heard good things, you really think it ranks up there with The Shield etc? My doubts would come from the fact that the first season is NBC, but then again Hannibal was on NBC so it's possible I guess.

I highly recommend it. Give it a go...that's the only way you'll know.
