The film, the 1993 series(after the film) and 2022 series are all fiction, despite being based on the story of a real team. If I want facts, I read a book or watch a documentary.
This nonsense again...such a sad duck and dive trick. And utter nonsense.

Why are you in this thread anyway...apart from being triggered by my comment and jumping on the opportunity to troll and stir kak.

You've never read a book or watched a documentary...that's quite obvious.

To be fair your comment is a bit mystifying, are you querying why the series exists at all or are you questioning why it's not more factually accurate?

I read a lot of threads, I don't always get involved in them. I am also not posting any spoilers, I just asked you a question that you got cranky about.

It's irrelevant anyway, I just wanted to see what I had missed but I didn't know it was going to get the reaction that it did. I'll go back to enjoying fictional tv shows and you can go back to being outraged about them.

Typical false projection...

^This...

But of course it apparently does not matter in loon world, if movies or shoes based on actual historic events, does not contain or reflect actual historic events.

My bad.

Fictionalized account of what happened in real life...

"Based on a true story" really means "not a true or accurate representation of what actually happened." I just wanted to know what he meant and what the issue was, it doesn't change it from being fiction. To soothe the pain, I can recommend 10 good documentaries of the same female baseball team.

And then of course you have Fargo which is entirely fictional but says the below at the start...although to be fair the randomness and incompetence certainly comes across as a true story..

Finished the Aussie series Mr Inbetween & really enjoyed it. Guess it's in the 'good guy doing bad things' category. Short 20 minute episodes give the series a good pacing. Worth a watch if you're looking for something.

The Australian series The Twelve also looks pretty decent but it's so locked down to just Australia doubt we will get it.

Not sure if it will release elsewhere once it is finished in AU. Nonetheless, I am not restricted to region restrictions and grabbed the episodes weekly. Now on the 8th. Definitely will start it soon.

One of the best series I've seen. Funny, violent, poignant, sad...it has it all.

Original movie that the series is based on is just as good.

I still find myself sometimes thinking about certain scenes in that series. The ending of the episode with the missing kid was one of them. It's also great watching stuff where every single person is an unknown actor (to me at least) - it feels like a real time & place and you're not constantly tugged away by familiarity. Actor playing Ray is so perfect for the role. And yeah I caught a reference to the movie in one of the episodes that only made sense when I heard about the movie - will need to check it. But damn, cool series where one moment you're like "wtf man" and the next you're crying along with him. Also cool songs at the end of each ep.

I highly recommend this...

Really enjoying Stranger Things season 4, far superior to season 1 and 2 (didn’t watch 3)

Someone also mentioned in earlier, but “Back to Life” is also great, thanks for the mention

Soooooooooo............... you watch season 1 and season 2.... and then jump to watching season 4. How is that working out for you? Are you not missing some of the storyline in between?
