Thanks for saving us. Wish they would have 2 sound tracks. Just go back and watch MASH with the laughter turned off. So much better, even though it was appropriate back in the day.
The only appropriate laugh tracks is: "This show was filmed in front of a live studio audience."

Oh and it must of course be actually funny...

I don't think they're doing much of that these days for obvious reasons?

In the meantime you can always occupy yourself with Anthony Hopkins’ masterful shoe-polished performance as Othello.
I think you're confusing Hopkins with Olivier.

David Tennant's Dr. Who is brilliant.
We started in 2005 with Eccleston which I also thought was great. In fact you have to watch that first to get the back story of many of the Tennant episodes. Plan on watching it all up until the current season. Doubt I will watch the older seasons from before the 2005 stuff.

Actually they were all good...I just like David Tennant as an actor. I've watched nothing of the new series though.
Should actually get these for my kids to watch. They'd love it.

David Tennant is one of my favorite actors currently. Incredibly versatile in just about everything I have seen him in. One of the few actors I know who can play good, bad, or neutral characters with that much competence.

Eventually watched episode 1 of Clarice.
There is just too much that does not work for me.

1.) The series is supposed to take place about 1 year after Silence of the Lambs. However, it is actually 30 years. It does not feel like they take place in the same decade. Duh obviously.
2.) I'm not familiar with most of the cast so difficult to care about any of them.
3.) It feels as though they are cashing in on the popularity of Silence of the Lambs and not adding anything to the story.
My opinion.

They can make movies set in the 1970s look like they're in the 1970s. If this series doesn't look like it's set in 1989, then it's pure laziness.
