When did DSTV acquire the local rights to wandavision?
I do not think they did. As of yet though.

The epic Disney+ shows you still cannot watch legally in South Africa
While Disney+ is now available in more than 50 countries around the world, there is still no indication of when the streaming service will be coming to South Africa.mybroadband.co.za
I've got only this to addThe only quesion I have.... is it illegal to download content? If so, I would really, really love to see the very specific act which states that downloading copyrighted material is ILLEGAL in South Africa. Furthermore I would love to see this in any of the new upcoming acts too. I have read them all. Several times. And to date, downloading content is pretty much legal in South Africa. Civilly, yes, Disney can probably hop on a plane, head over to SA and provide evidence in a civil court that I have downloaded and watched their content without paying. The court will likely order me to pay for every episode, somewhere in the region of of a subscription fee to Disney.
And, lastly, I would love to see that news article, let alone court case, where any single South African have been charged, arrested and prosecuted for downloading content. (Yes, I know of a few incidents of sharing content, and selling content which is prohibited by the copyright act, but I am talking about downloading.)
So, are we really naughty in doing this?, because it is not illegal.
I am with the South African government on this one. Do we really need money-hungry Hollywood fatcats who can tell us what we can watch and what not?
If Disney wants to make money in SA, they should come here, get servers up and running and expand their services here. Allow us to subscribe. They have decent content which I am willing to pay, but I do not want to jump through hoops and do something illegal to watch it.
Multichoice causes piracy. #mcmustfall
