It takes a few episodes to get into, it started hotting up towards the end of season 1.

Hahaha, I will not deign to suspend my disbelief fully when watching this ridiculous show. YOU CAN'T JUST MAKE ELECTRICITY GO POOF (Magical cause?) Unpossible. Bad science is bad. This will bother me so hard if I come back to watch this series again.

How far have you watched?

I hated revolution. Every time I see Charlie face (lead actress) face, I feel like punching her.

She annoys me too much

Erm, I'm kinda embarrassed to say this but I watched the first 2 episodes of S1 and read a couple of whole S1 negative reviews on the Internet  Shoot me.

you believe what critics write about it? eish, honestly it's not the best thing since slice bread, but you can do much, much worse, that's for sure.

ok ok, so whats your cup of tea then?
Better shows basically, revolution is just another network show that needs to fill half the episodes with crap in order to fill the 20+ episode season order. It also needs to appeal to the greatest possible audience so will try to be as PC and family orientated as possible. Thus you won't see many network shows tackling intelligent or controversial topics, and some scenes will be absurdly toned down, such as when characters never swear no matter what and in sex scenes bras are never removed. You will see it happen with pretty much every network show. Cable shows on HBO, FX, AMC and Showtime stick to a more reasonable 10-13 episodes which make for much better and entertaining shows and aren't afraid to be controversial. The British model is even better, series tell a story and then finish. Probably why shows like Sherlock, IT Crowd, Inbetweeners, Black Books, Fawlty Towers are so amazing.

Just finished the last, shortened season of Treme. One of my favourites. Amazing storytelling.

Ok. I get it. But still don't think you answered my questions. Which shows that you are watching right now are you enjoying?

I must say that I prefer the British shows, including "Silent Witness".

And as for the genteel absurdity of "Midsomer Murders" - I'm hooked :)
