Lost interest in some of the newer shows so taking the opportunity to re-watch one of my all time favourites, The Riches.
Reminds me of Shameless and even has one of the characters from Shameless in it i.e. Noel Fisher.

Buffy is a skip, imo. Firefly is cool, and The West Wing is one the best shows ever.

I never saw the point of Buffy, but it's very highly rated. Will see what's what.

Nice. Have you seen Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me yet? Sort of a prequel.

Nope, just started straight in with Season 1.

This show has really gone down the crapper. Going through writers like toiletpaper, budget cuts, main actors leaving the show... It's just not what it used to be. I really hope that season 5 is the last season.

Dan Harmon is back at the helm, so I'm inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt. Will watch them when the whole season is out.

What's the feedback on Black Sails and The Musketeers ?

I have seen episode one of Black Sails. Lots of profanity, violence and nudity/sex. Overarching storyline will be very important (which is good, of course). Perhaps too many characters to introduce in one episode - a bit overwhelming so far. I will have to see the next episode to see if it gets better or worse. I don't feel cheated or wowed yet.

If I were to judge the pilot episodes of these two against each other; Spartacus > Black Sails. The latter does have "spot the South African" counting in its favour, though.

Community never really had a direction for the story. There's only so long one can remain in a community college before you move on, and the producers, instead of "Scrubsing" the plot (they have to an extent) have decided to opt for the more absurdity route. It does get old though, but I don't think they've overplayed it just yet...

I am enjoying True detective. Nice to watch something well acted with good dialogue that doesn't rely on over the top plots, action or gore all the time.
