I've queued up The Killing for "acquisition" :D

You will hate yourself for watching it.

Why?! It is a brilliant series. I love mysteries and this series has so many that keeps you wondering and trying to piece together pieces to form a bigger picture. It's a thinking man's show.

I finished Spartacus Vengeance (finally) last night. Was brilliant as always, except for the bad CGI here and there and the demented misplaced screaming of Crixus during battle.

It started off brilliantly, I loved the atmosphere and the acting was good. Each subsequent episode dropped significantly.

The show runner was fired at the end of Season 2, but I won't bother continuing. The end of Season 1 really pi$$ed me off.

Just started watching the original Star Trek (series 1 episode 1); before James T Kirk, Bones and when Vulcans had emotions, oh and let's not forget this is also when the world got it first look at what a clamshell mobile phone could look like.

Nostalgic but it's not great. My favourites are STNG & Enterprise.

Another excellent series is Babylon 5!

I like those too, but growing up in the 70s, this will always be Star Trek for me :D

Grew up in the same period and also loved it at the time but watching it now it's lost it's appeal a bit.

In contrast I love the oldies, a time when lots of eye candy was important :D

For example: love the old Alfred Hitchcock stuff, and The Outer Limits

I'm a Game of Thrones fan, I find this offensive.

Your recommended list is quite good, the sitcoms list is a bit meh.

Can I ask what appeal people find with 2 broke girls? Its really low class humour, really bland jokes and I actually feel bad for the characters because it can't be helping any future acting prospects. I remember when it started airing in America as I was there and in their papers it was reviewed as a pathetic attempt as simple humour but then they went on to say that it would do well in the US context but not so great elsewhere in the world.

So no hate but what in the show appeals to you?
