Or we could pretty much follow what is done everywhere else.... even if you aviod this thread you will still see the promo's on tv and those will spoil you

I don't watch TV.

We really need spoiler tags here because it's easy to use. One day some jerk will post here a massive spoiler. Some of you will go mad.

I agree. Changing your text to white accomplishes the same thing though.

SPOILER ALERT:
Someone on this thread will post a huge spoiler and because of your inherent curiosity (or because they haven't adequately described the spoiler) you will highlight the text, and then proceed to kick yourself. :p

watched the first 5 episodes of Game of Thrones last night. If I didn't have work today, I probably would have watched the entire season in one sitting :)

A spoiler is saying what happens in a series, revealing the plot or parts of it. It doesn't matter if it's a week later or 10 years later. The entire point of this thread is giving people reasons to watch or avoid certain series. I have 3 episodes of Game Of Thrones to watch. Others may have never watched it. So NO spoilers at all ever. Create a seperate thread to do that.

Caught up with Fringe. It is the BEST series on TV at the moment. Yes, it's better than even Game Of Thrones.

GOT has gotten surprisingly boring as each episode airs. I watched s02e06 this morning and I just don't feel compelled to watch any episodes of it anymore.

Watched a further 7 episodes of Game of Thrones last night. I'm currently at ep 2 of s2. It's a great series, but I think with all the hype I was expecting more :/

This is one series where reading the books is strongly recommended. You have to follow the series to the end to understand it. Boring just means you have no idea what is going on.

reading the books should never be a pre-requisite for a series. they should be able to relay the story.

I have just finished the first book after re watching GOT series 1 and enjoyed it, I suspect I will do the same once I have finished the second. It is just such a temptation to read the book first but I must resist!

I don't think it's possible in this case. Each book is 1000 pages or so. The scale is epic. The number of key characters is epic. There are loads of twists. There is no way you can compress all that into 10 hours of screen time. Some minor details become major factors later on.

they why did they bother with this book if by the sounds of it they gonna mutilate the story so badly?

They are doing ok, but like merc there he is complaining because all he wants is the fighting and sex. He doesn't want them to spend any time on the story arc (which takes long long time to do).

WTF is your problem with me? At each opportunity, you purposefully try to antagonise me and talk shyte about me, in every thread possible. If I wanted sex and violence and a good story, I'll watch Spartacus. Seriously, just fsck off and stop talking kak about that which you have no idea about. I'm finding GOT boring, so fscking deal with it, troll.

Exactly. Unfortunately, not everyone can portray a movie/series as good as their books. I enjoyed season 1, thoroughly, but season 2 has gotten really boring. Friends of my friends that also watch the series are saying the same thing.

I just completed season 1 of The Killing. Very interesting series, but I was a bit let down by the last 3 episodes. I'm gonna wait until season 2 has completely aired before I watch it. I love these series that keeps me thinking :)

I thought the first 3 episodes of season 2 were boring, starting to get into it now though... reading book 2 at the same time, must say reading the book while watching the season is working for me, keeps me interested between episodes.
