Hello. Most of you might have noticed Bandwidth has become extremely cheap. To a point where one is able to host from home now (Sadly line speeds are still lacking). Are there any Server Hosts who have followed suite and allowed cheaper or uncapped Server Hosting in SA? atm its still cheaper to host Web/Mail Servers overseas, and with SeaCom up/down the whole time one needs to look at local alternatives. Any suggestions?

I have asked Afrihost and they said it is next for them to look into I suppose it will only happen when the whole uncapped war slows down and stabilises.

WebAfrica.

Check their site, they have a few new products released the last month or so.

Texo is also a great choice as they have Akamai on some packages (site is international, but local only accounts can access it due to Akamai).

When you say server hosting, I assume you mean dedicated server hosting.

Teraside is correct, WA has the Nitro dedicated servers which have more bandwidth than before.

Those are pretty nice servers too, while it is not uncapped 20gb and 100gb is quite a bit, depending on the type of hosting you do, 100gb should be more than enough for email hosting.

WA' international hosting runs over Sat3, Telkom. We haven't had any downtime with it the entire year.
