Hi, I have 1 pc with 8ta modem currently

Now I have 1 phone which requires wifi.(I want to use the 8ta connection on my PC - but no router yet)

What is the cheapest router I can buy which will take 8ta sim, so i can directly link (LAN?) to my PC, and set up wifi to the phone?
Would this router also be able to take cell c sim?

thanks

Uniterm TP-Link MR3220 (on MyBB special if still available) - what modem do you have?

Get a Huawei B660 or B683 from Telkom store - it cost about R1100 and works brilliantly.

TP-Link MR3020 - R 485,00. new, with guarantee. 150mb LAN speed, 5db antenna. The SIM goes into the modem and the modem goes into the router. You can get a combined device where the SIM goes into the router, but it is on contract to Vodacom. This will allow 8 concurrent connections.

PM me if you want more info or how to get one.

I used a Cell C E1752 on one of these for R225. You can't put the SIM into the modem, it rather has a USB slot where you plug your modem into. That way you can upgrade the modem in future if you want say 21MBps instead of the 7.2Mbps of the one you have.

This model is 3G and ADSL capable. 150Mbps Wi-Fi

Am using 8ta on it now.

No problems whatsoever.

EDIT: Full disclosure.
As with any electronic device you need to keep the firmware up to date.
So just make sure you have the latest firmware loaded. It's a very easy process via a web browser.

The one that Scoop sell sounds fine. Just make sure that the modem you intend to use is recognised by the router. I found the modem that Mustek sell did not work with the TP-Link models

^ And this. Great little MiFi router. Just make sure, as Chris has pointed out, that your modem works with the router.
