Hi guys, Hope someone can give some advice.

I get irritated and annoyed in a flash. The smallest things will set it off.

I am not depressed in any way but this must be some sort of mental issue. Has anyone experienced this and what can be done?

Thanks.

I have experienced it quite a bit. My most recent episode was Black Friday (an event which usually irritates me regardless) but because my salary deposits were delayed by these idiots in the shops spending up a storm (due to them overloading the banking systems) I was very highly pissed off because I had employees to pay.

Have you always been like that, or has it only started happening recently ?

I am not depressed in any way ...

Irritability is almost always one of the main indicators of depression. Depression doesn't always and only mean you're morbidly morose and suicidal.

If your life circumstances or environment aren't what would irritate a healthy person, and you suspect it's a mental health issue, it's probably depression.

I had something similar and went on a 12 month course of anti-depressants. Life got better but I can't conclusively say if the pills did it because I set out to also improve life in general through correct diet, exercise, habits, etc.

Sorry, no clear answer here. People are complicated and your irritability might be depression, it might be something worse, or you might just be an arsehole.

Talk to your doctor.

Lack of sleep, medicine, caffeine, Fat burners, hormone changes and Taxi drivers could all contribute to irritation.
Hard to say...
