Looking on auto trader for isuzu bakkies and I came across a bakkie that is being sold by 5 different people. Also the price seems to good to be true

The bakkie on each listing seems to look like the same bakkie? Is this a normal thing to do for used car dealers?

The listed km on the info is very close or even the same.....

Its one of those nigerian dealerships. remember they are all family so they share stock. How the car was acquired is a different story.

I've seen this trend with loads of JHB CBD dealers. Normally they just change the nr plate and list under a different name. One can only imagine that they are trying to increase their chances of getting a sale by listing it under more names.

Dodgy practice - be very careful and double check for accidents, service history etc

I was browsing webuycars the other day looking for an idea of bakkie prices and found a couple that were pretty much the same as well...

Then I went to a real live dealership and decided I would rather risk the high seas than the depths of old time car sales sharks.

Anyone who buys from webuycars deserves the unfortunate events that will subsequently occur.

The best would be a friend or family friend selling their bakkie or upgrading. Just checking that same model vs facebook market place or webuycars shows something ain't right

Yea and same for the random places I went to.

Freaking stories, can see car had a fender bender, leaking oil, one light full of water and cracked windscreen.
Guy tells me, no guy had to move and lost service record but car is in great shape (I was expecting karma to drop it's bumper at this point).

At least webuycars comes with DEKRA reports you can view from your own screen :)

Was about to say this and after reading some of them, they normally state if they see oil leaks or body repair

I bought my bakkie from an ex-colleague of my wife. I paid a fair value for it, in my opinion, but after the sale he returned R5000 to me because he said it needed the seat covers replaced... and he was embarrassed that he sold it to me in that condition.

Not sure if I would trust any agent to do that.
