Shaving

Gillette Mach 3. Also find gel to be better than foam.

I tend to chow blades a bit as my growth is quite rampant. I can get away with skipping a day but it is noticable and GF shrieks in agony and calls me "scratchy chin". :o

Not too sure but I think a blade lasts me about 3 weeks to a month if I skip every 2nd day and most weekends.
 
Disposable Bic. A pack of 5 cost around R10. Each one lasts for about 3 to 4 months but then I only shave the neck.
 
Wish I could!! Have to shave everyday - hardebaard!! Going back to work today so I have not shaved since Friday. Going to be a mission... first use trimmer, then shave!
 
Mach 3 with Body Shop shaving cream and a brush. Blades last about 3 weeks/month. I used Prep for a few years until I found the Body Shop cream. Then I used a layer of Prep underneath the cream for a while. The cream costs about R80 but you use a tiny amount and you get a good rich cream. Jar of cream lasts about 6 months.

Brush and soap was out when I started shaving. Tried it once, but I found that the soap clogs up the blades, gel rinses off easily.

I'm keen to try out one of those cut-throat jobbies, I can't imagine a closer shave than with one of those. Although I'd probably bleed to death after the first attempt.
 
i donno how anyone can shave with a manual shaver??

I prefer the automatic/electric shaver...

Well i guess i still got pretty much bumfluff. but still its soo much easier than having to try and shave...
 
how much do you guys pay for your mach 3 turbo blades ?
R150 for 4 blades is the usual price in most shops ...

i payed R30 for 4 at a flea market in PMB and guess what ...
there's absolutly no difference that i can notice ?!?! exact same close shave with no irritation or anything like that and i only paid R30! i think gillette is ripping us off with the price of blades for sure !

your thoughts ?

They are probably genuine, just stolen or from a hijacked truck.
 
Braun Synchro with the new Gillette Foil and cutter - the new Gillette Foil and cutter made a major improvement to my old shaver.

When i worked in a supermarket, any broken or slightly damaged boxes were sent back to the supplier. The supplier can't repackage and re-sell because of possible contamination, so they get dumped or destroyed. Basically gets written off. I suppose these guys intercept them. I've never seen a box of those blades that wasn't damaged a bit.

lol i'm back up in jhb now so doubt i'll ever get a bargain like that again :)
but if i do i'd probably keep all cos the price in the shops is getting veeeery expensive these days ...
