Police minister Bheki Cele has published the crime statistics for Q1 2021/2022, with a significant increase in cases reported across a number of crime categories.

A shock would for me would mean a reduction in crime stats - I would be pleasantly shocked.

The head line should rather read - As predicted the crime rates have increased...

How do they expect the crime rates to reduce when nothing is done about it !

OT, my entire are is now under police, a home invasion not too far from me. From all of my years living here, I never have experienced this many 'violent' crimes at an interval too often. So many houses being hit now that I can't keep track.

Elderly couple. I believe someone my have been fatally wounded, but I don't know if it is one of the elderly or an invader. Second time their house has been hit this year, but this time it was violent.

Cops are parked all the way up to me.

My mom is 73 and lives up the road from a location....and wont listen to reason and accept this place is fkd..sadly she thinks there is more good than bad here......Im just waiting for that call.....
