Shame apeso , as bobbin said. Despite laws giving an advantage whites still flip them the bird. Why, they work hard, I know of people who are married with children, yet they still study for the next degree. Unlike some people who sit with their hand in a bowl and want to let everything fall in.

You paint a very nice picture about the white people in SA, despite the laws giving advantage to other races whites are still earning more than blacks, and despite being married with children they are still studying, which means they are still probably going to earn even more in future.

So all those stories you like peddling about whites having no future in SA and warning every one who cares to listen that they must run as fast as they can to overseas and chastising those who dare to contemplate coming back to SA, were they just rants to be ignored or what?

Still don't in the long term. CONTEXT , CONTEXT, CONTEXT!!! You need help with that? Not many whites have those oppertunities. No bursaries etc. working at restaurants for tips to pay for studies...we've been through this before haven't we?

Another salary survey? Hilarious, the data to support these figures are as useless as the article itself.

BusinessTech's Staff Writer is directly plugged into the South African Internet backbone, and spits out press releases and other news as they receive it. They are believed to be close friends with The Stig and The Architect of The Matrix.

So the "staff writer" just grabs and publishes press releases without any QC process. Why not give a disclaimer about it just being a press release!

Hey now... Don't be too critical. After all, it was written by a R3000/m professional.

Could one racially profile the .... professional ..... based on the R3000? :)

According to the article its possible.

These surveys and conclusions are just silly really, but at least it gives us something to banter about.

Analytico Salary Analysis ModelTM.

Its findings were based on 692,704 individuals.

Where exactly is the data being mined from? I have not given any of my service providers consent to give away any of my information.

BusinessTech News, care to get some more information on this model that Analytico use? How about some real journalism instead of the gutter trash you publish?

Oh, wow, these people even can model salaries down into industries/sectors. How? In the article they stated they had hundereds of thousands of sources. Do they have access to banking or tax records?

Company I worked for in SA paid a junior Black IT tech R5000. Hired another one two months later, and paid him R15000. For doing the exact same job. I asked the first one why he got paid so little and why he hadn't asked for a raise yet. He said that in his interview they asked him what he wanted - as it was pretty much his first job, he thought R5k was good. Great guy - I really felt for him.

Yeah, and not great of the company to just be like "sweet, sure we'll give you R10k less than what the going rate is". And it was a BEE compliant company, too. Sies.

It's common
Happened to me in the uk as well. I was earning 30 pounds an hour, my first contract job there. The guy they later hired to help me was on 50.

But than it did not happen to you. From 5000 to 15000 is 3x more. From 30 to 50 is not even double. #mathsfail
