Boere is slang for police. Even us white Capetonians talk of the boere now and then, and if you are a poacher it is common to talk of the boere.

Apparently the guy's son and the blonde in the car are friends. The blondes boyfriend thought it was was more like "friends with benefits" so him and his friends came over to teach the guy a lesson. Mom came out with a steel pipe, dad came out without a leg to protect his family.
