Yup.

Firearms entering South Africa for a period not exceeding six (6) months for the purpose of hunting, sport, self-defence, repair, law enforcement, exhibition where after it will return to country of origin, wherefor a temporary import permit may be issued.

Firearms entering South Africa to be transported over SA ground to another country in Africa for personal use wherefor a in-transit permit may be issued.

And yet we can't apply for a license for a firearm for self defence? How does that work?

Simple really, the country of origin already deemed the carrier to be fit to carry a firearm legally. He's not a citizen of this country thus we as a sovereign nation, subject to certain agreements allow the people from X countries to carry their firearms in SA legally.

Our vetting system has nothing to do with it.

Yip IMO a murder charge to follow, no life was in danger and this was cold blooded murder. But awaiting the third version to conclude my opinion.

Indeed.

The guy had the time to retrieve his gun, walk back and then take a life. He could have opted to keep walking. He had options. His life was in no way under any threat. It's murder.

I think people have lost touch with reality...

VR games, AirSoft, FPS games may have contributed to the fact that people have no perception anymore of the finality of shooting someone.

Subconsciously they're thinking: "He'll just re-spawn after I've shot him."

So the shooter is an accomplice? Wonder what the women were imploring him to do?

Most retarded shyte if have ever read
As if I even care what you think, apart from the usual response you vomit out, before even thinking about what someone else may have said exactly.

Words like "may" and "subconsciously" is probably a bit challenging for you.

Of course you can. Many people do.
Yes, well, you say that...

No one thinks that.

This speaks for itself, I don't even have to respond to him :D

No one thinks what? That the person they're shooting will re-spawn??

Are you actually taking that literally...or thinking I meant it LITERALLY?

JFC...people are even more fukkin stupid than I thought...

It is about the dumbing down (ironically) of peoples emotions/senses. People nowadays, up to a certain age, have become immune and desensitized to the consequences of shooting/killing someone.

Aiming at someone, pulling the trigger and killing them, have lost all meaning. Millions of people do it every day in VR gaming, AirSoft and FPS games.

This can translate into real life, like it did in that parking lot.

The guy just stood there watching camly and then just stepped forward, aimed and pulled the trigger. Does that look like someone that acted in fear or the heat of the moment, or more like someone that has no perception or awareness of consequences.

The re-spawning comment was based on the above premise, not on "Duh, lemme shoot this guy, 'cos he'll re-spawn anyway."

Fuk me....

Another one highlighting it's stupidity.

WTF does the "conception of mankind" have to do with anything whatsoever? Mankind evolved since then ( well not you obviously ) as did society and how we behave in it.

So no, "video games" did not cause Homo Habilis to just walk up to and kill one another...

Oh thought the video game derail was supposed to be humour. Yikes!

Maybe it is? Am I going mad?
