Shops looted in Soweto over Eskom prepaid meters

The ANC's chickens have come home to roost, and these are rather large bantam hens.

Don't promise what you can't deliver, ANC.
 
Rather than being grateful for getting a free ride all these years they start looting.

Looting seems to be the default answer these days in SA. Just look at Zuma. :(
 
There is a joke in there somewhere in the fact that they chose to loot a bottle store and a KFC outlet.
 
"I want to carry on stealing electricity, so I'm going to steal booze and chicken to show you how angry I am that you want me to pay for things!"
 
It had f***-all to do with Eskom: the looters were looking for free food & drink ...
 
Shops looted in Dube, Soweto

Johannesburg - A bottle store and a KFC outlet were looted in Dube, Soweto, on Sunday night, apparently during a protest against Eskom installing pre-paid electricity meters in the area, authorities said.

Locals, apparently residents of the Dube Hostel, also tried to break open two ATMs next to the KFC, but police arrived and the culprits fled empty-handed, Gauteng traffic police spokesperson Obed Sibasa said on Monday morning.
He said the violence began at around 19:00.

Police spokesperson Colonel Lungelo Dlamini said no arrests were made and nobody was injured.

what a load of BS.

You don't loot a KFC and liquor store because of eskom. You loot it then when caught blame eiskom.

How does not wanting to pay for electricity = free booze and chicken?
