Hey everyone
I'm currently looking for a short term investment, somewhere where i can park my money while I gain some form of credit rating before applying for a home loan.
I just received my Edgers clothing account card and in the process of signing a Vodacom contract so I'm right at the beginning of the process of achieving some form of respectable credit rating. I recently applied for a credit card at Standard bank with quite a far bit of change in my daily account but it was declined due to having 0 credit rating.
So my question is where can I park this money for 3-6 months ? while trying to match or even beat CPI (yes i know its not a true take on real inflation)
I have found two decent savings accounts in my search so far.
5.35%-5.45% - FNB 7 Day Notice Deposit
6% - Capitec 6 month fixed deposit
Both have their advantages and disadvantages, being fluidity and interest.
But always open to hear the thoughts and ideas from the members of this forum.
