Shorten MP3s' for ringtones

Can you recommend any apps to do this?

MP3 Direct Cut - you can highlight what you want and what you don't and save it.. splits large files like live shows or mixes into tracks as well.

Sound Forge would probably be best, but it's not nearly free.. which MP3 Direct Cut is.
