Should i close my credit card accounts?

Hi there.

Im in the process of settling my two credit card account.

Should i close it completely or keep it open.

And if i do close it will it have a negative effect on my credit record?

Yes, and it can come in handy sometimes.

I'm in the process of closing two myself.

If you don't have an overdraft facility I would close one and keep one.. what I have learnt... The bank will give you an umbrella on a sunny day... but not easily on a rainy day....

keep one if you can be disciplined with it. it is a good emergency resource. and it is a cheap way to do transactions if it's not in the red

I closed the one today, will keep the other one.

They said if I keep my account open they will take the monthly fees away. But i decided againts it. To temping to have two cards.
