do we have freedom? yes or no?... if i cant enjoy something to drink, when I eat, on where I choose to spend my money on its not freedom but dictatorship...

Do you think restaurants should be allowed to sell alcohol to their sit-down clients during the lockdown?
YES.! Do you think People suffering from the Flu does not take Alcohol for Medication?? No MAS, No Smoking or distance separation is going to prevent you from the Flu and this China Flu is a Stronger Seasonal Flu.

Ok course they should sell Alcohol, it's part of the enjoyment of Dining out.
We need to stimulate the economy, not collapse it.
The idiots at "Headquarters " don't have a clue, unless it's for self enrichment .

Yes, but I would limit it to items such as beer/cider where they can sanitise the bottle/can in front of you before opening it up yourself.
What about plates and cutlery? Draught Beer come in a normal drinking glass and so does cold drink. They can sell cold drink, why not alcohol?

Yes of course - its all part of the restaurant experience - atmosphere, service food, good wine list, decent selection of beers. Take out the booze and a huge element of that experience is missing

amein to that... the anc saw another money sponging opportunity and dick-tatorship control

Leave it to restaurants to work their own businesses...the market will decide who makes it or not.

When you go out for a meal a glass of wine or beer is part of the pleasure why on earth would you ban it when you can buy it in the stores plus the fact that the hospitality trade has been very hard hit by this lockdown & they need to start making a profit it’s utterly non sensical like most of the governments decisions

I feel sorry for the slightly alcoholic guy who had to be woken up from his 4 month coma (You know, to make space for “sicker” patients) opening his MBB forum to “catch up” and reading this question.

Reading some of the responses here, he’d probably think he woke up in some alternate universe. I feel that way all the time. I’m just waiting for Schuster to pull that silly mask off and go: “It’s me, Shucks! Here’s your smokes! I was only Dlamini-Zuma-ing you! And you all stopped drinking too??!! Wha ha ha”

Surely Not?!

Talking about dictators. While Kim Jong Un was plotting away in his underground bunker, throwing darts at the drawing of an orange man with insanely small hands (and also his second in command, who irritatingly and for reasons Kimmy doesn’t understand, insists on asking the same question every night: “What are we going to do tonight, Brain?”) another dictator was implementing his WDP, or World Domination Plan. It started by freeing a virus from a lab, keeping tabs on how quickly it spreads, letting a few thousand people die No big deal he thinks. Plenty more where they came from. Then unleashing it on the world.

Legend has it that Kimmy was so pissed off about the simplicity of Jinping‘s (still sounds like some drinking game) plan, he fired a bunch of missiles into the ocean, then, probably caused by the stress and the shouting, he popped a vein. Rumors of his demise spread like wildfire. But alas, he returned, although now resembling the dim-witted mouse. Zoinks

I'm just amused to see that there are still people that trust government to think and make these rules for them.

Eh, no, and the reasons are health related. When people dop, they get happy and hug. And the hug transfers virus from one to the other.

Yes
Otherwise i wont go to a restaurant
not gonna sit there staring at a milkshake, my name isn't @Thor
