ICASA must die. In a fire. With Arsenic sprinkled over for good measure.

@RPM, when the reasons get released can you maybe post some ICASA details that we can mail to complain about their dumbass decision?

no but some people think a nanny state is a good idea.

Just because you don't drink, watch, smoke, eat or otherwise consume does not mean your neighbour shouldn't

All animals are created equal, some are just more equal than others yo

Until you have groups promoting freedom of expression etc voicing their beliefs louder than the groups wanting government to be responsible for what we hear/see it will always be this way.

I am an adult WTF gives them the right to prescribe to me what i should or should not watch
I don't give a damn about porn it is just the principle of the matter
Freedom of choice, don't decide for me that really p.isses me off .
Because some religious people don't like it, DON'T WATCH IT no one is going to make them watch it
Real pathetic

Don't mean to sound stupid, but what exactly is this poll asking?

When has legislating behaviour ever worked out well?

Disclaimer: North Korea is best Korea! We miss you, dear leader! ;_;

It is understood that the regulations require ICASA to deny an application within 60 days. If ICASA doesn’t respond, which is what happened in this case despite TopTV’s reminder to the regulator, the new channels are automatically approved.

If Icasa can't follow their own regulations, why should we (or any company) heed their regulations? TopTV should take them to court for expenses.

What honestly concerns me more about this is that some dancing leopard-skin-clad corrupt polygamist potentially gets to decide what I may or may not see in the privacy of my own home.

I am also a little confused as to what they want to know.

Personally I dont think the state should decide what we watch, their only duty is to protect the minors, in this case make sure there is adequate measures in place to prevent children from stumbling onto the channel while swapping between Open says me and Wizards of wherevers place.

You know like make sure equipment have parental control, and so on.

Problem is the xtians complained to ICASA

The people who want freedom of choice compained on MyBB/News24 :D

Guys.... ICASA get's bribed to hold South Africa behind, and to keep Telkom in Power.

If Porn is available on TV, that would mean less people download the stuff from the Web, which is bad for telkom.

HAHAHAHAHA I like your logics

Maybe its just a reaction based on the background of having lived under the 'old south africa', but I applaud the gradual erosion of the nation state, with its grandiose notions of protecting the citizenry from this or that global scourge...

The state have a responsibility to the kids in this country and thus have to ensure that a certain level of morals prevail. What whomever does on their PC via Internet and in the dark is their own problem.
