Showmax streaming boxes and 4K TVs launching with biggest Google TV partner

MultiChoice's Showmax has announced a partnership with QVWi — the biggest Google TV partner in the world — which will see it launch a range of streaming devices and 4K TVs.

The devices, which include a streaming stick, streaming box, and 4K TVs, will be available to purchase from 1 August 2024 through leading South African retailers.

The up coming Google TV Streamer, might be an option, depending what hardware Google decides to put in it.

Mmmmm. My Sony is not going to last much longer I think. When it does give out it is nice to know there is a affordable option. I paid about the same price as this for the Sony, which is only a 46" many many years ago.

Only specs that matter, and S905Y4, even with A35 and not A55 at R1K is fairly good.

Multichoice really just ruined one of the best entry-level device (Leap S3) we have available in the country.
This might be worse than Xiaomi's bloatware.
