"The company's head of legal services Mandla Langa, who had to be persuaded to stay on after earlier resigning his position, was said to be pleased that he had been promoted to chief of corporate affairs.

Analysts expect a disillusioned Moholi to leave Telkom, creating a void in an executive team already weakened by the earlier departure of Nkenke Kekana, the group executive for regulatory and public affairs."

Interesting. What is obviously of concern is that people move from ICASA to top positions within the telecoms industry...

Apart from the obvious conflict of interest that exists when ICASA decisionmakers move to corporate structures they ruled on previously, the new CEO of Telkom is all but clean and free from suspicions of cullusion now quite obvious. He comes from the ranks of those who have a stake in the SNO...

I am still convinced we will see a DUOPOLY soon... Government seems party to this in an unofficial but seemingly blatant fassion....

But this is mere speculation and my personal opinion.

Mistaken identity

The report mistakenly named Mandla Langa as present head of Legal Services instead of Mandla Ngcobo. It is Mandla Ngcobo who has been promoted and he has never been associated with icasa.
