Here's the bit that concerns me

Alachouzos pointed out that the TAG has a lot of shares, and have started to hand out these shares to individuals

So far the TAG has transferred shares to around 70 individuals, but it is an ongoing project which is expected to reach many more individuals in the next few months.

OK so how do we become one of these "individuals" ?

What has been the success of previous TAG campaigns? What did that expensive news paper ad achieve?

A considerable amount of publicity for the cause.

These guys need to be applauded for their efforts, and it is an effort which I appreciate very much.

Thanks to all, especially Shuttleworth, who is making it possible - and doing everything they can to bring change to a dead market.

Im sure far more could be done by Mr Shuttleworth just speaking out in the press about what crooks Telkom are. I cant see real shareholders wanting to depreciate their stock value? All the worlds press are keen to interview him and he has his own mag, Hip2b^. His voice and presence would be far more useful. I see the TAG page has not been updated sinice May 25th although that might just be an indication of the slow nature of Telkoms change in this country.

To me it is clear that this man is bored. He went to space! What more can a human achieve at the moment? That's why he continuously flames up these hyped up ventures that slowly fade into the background before spurring into a new idea, with most of them never really resulting in anything.

I guess if you have the money Mark Shutlewoth has, you can buy all the hype you want.

Mark you are the man, TAG is doing a brilliant thing and if it starts to get more support from other companies it could prove to be a very bad splinter under Telkoms skin!

"any 100 shareholders of a company can convene a general meeting, giving this congregation certain rights."
What can be decided at this general meeting and what rights does such a congregation have?
Surely 100 shares will have no effect on telkom itself except for being a headache in terms of useless paperwork for them, perhaps?
Some explenation regarding what can possibly and realisticly be achieved by this shareholder plan would lend credibility to their current plan.

Even if he is bored, what is wrong with helping in changing the Telkoms environment for all of us? I think that from the time he made his fortune he has shown a willingness to share with other people, unlike others which eventually go in denial about social responsibilities.

Well done Mark and keep and please carry on being bored :)
